What We Do
We make doing business in eCommerce simple. We take away the things that waste your time — manual data entry, inconsistent stock levels, spreadsheet wrangling, waiting for reports — so you can focus on growing your business.
We’re experts in two things: Systems integration and private AI for business. We connect your eCommerce website to your business systems such as ERP, accounting, CRM, and logistics systems so data flows automatically. Then we deploy AI on that integrated data so your team can make smarter decisions, faster.
How We Do It
We built our own cloud-based integration platform called CODI (Convergence Optimised Data Integration). CODI acts as the hub between your systems, with customisable connectors tailored to your specific requirements.
In 2025, we added an AI intelligence layer to CODI — private large language models that run on your own infrastructure and let you query your business data in plain English. No data leaves your organisation.
Our Story
Convergence has been in business since 1997. We started in a garage in Henderson before growing into offices in Ellerslie, Auckland and Wellington CBD. In those early years, we were focused on IBM software and Lotus Notes, servicing blue-chip clients across New Zealand, Australia, and the USA. We became an award-winning IBM Premier Business Partner.
In 2009, we turned our attention to eCommerce integration and built a specialist software practice around it. Since then, we’ve helped hundreds of New Zealand businesses streamline their online operations.
In 2025, we added AI to our toolkit — deploying private language models on integrated business data. It’s the natural next step: integration made the data flow; AI makes it useful.
